WordPress Photo Gallery Plugin Released

About a year or so ago, my good friend Rubin J. Kaplan (Joe) wrote a WordPress Photo Album Plugin. It was nice but wasn’t easy for people to use.

However, in recent weeks after he helped me with SRG Clean Archives he got the bug to fix up his plugin.

Basically he broke it apart and completely rewrote it, so now it’s a self contained solution to add a WordPress photo gallery to your site.

WPPA (WP Photo Album) is a simple to use and fully customizable plugin for managing photo albums within a WordPress powered site or blog.

I helped him with Beta testing, bug testing and fine tuning features for the first 1.0 release. I even added a little SEO goodness to the default theme for it.

Speaking of theming, you can customize the default theme to work with your current site’s look and feel. You can see it in action now on my photo gallery page.

Joe plans on doing a lot more with future releases and don’t worry, I am hot on his tail with a list of things that need to be added into the new future releases.

Yeah, I’m good like that. I can drive Joe crazy at times but at the end of the day, we really help each other out when it comes to things WordPress related.

When you get a moment, check out my new photo gallery and if you like what you see, WPPA (WP Photo Album) just might be the solution you’ve been looking for.
