What’s So Great About Panda Anti Virus Software?

pandalogo2 Whats So Great About Panda Anti Virus Software?

So one of the most popular antivirus programs out there would probably be Panda. Now, one of the reasons it’s so popular is because it’s cheap. At thirty bucks for a full package, it’s a lot more affordable than say, McAfee Security Center, which sits around fifty bucks for the full deal.

But being relatively cheap does not, necessarily, mean that the program is a deal. Remember, it’s only a deal if you get more than what you paid for. If you get less than what you paid for, even if you paid a single nickel, it’s not a deal, but a rip off.

So based on some honest, unbiased reviews, here’s what we could dig up on Panda’s antivirus software.

Panda tends to get a lot of positive reviews, generally being rated anywhere from four to five out of a possible five stars. The main thing reviewers seem to cite is its user friendliness.

This is a relief if you’ve ever dealt with a virus program that’s supposed to be super powerful, but takes hours just to install and configure. Panda is easy to put on your computer, it updates itself, and it works, without the hassle.

Reviewers also tend to like the fact that it does get daily updates. In this day and age, this is pretty much a requirement for each and every virus program out there, and yet, there are still a few that tend to neglect this duty to the user.

Virus makers definitely are putting out new viruses every day, so you can’t neglect the importance of daily updates. The only way virus killers can stop viruses is by working on a huge database of all known viruses. So… if there are vital viruses missing from that database, your computer is wide open for infection.

At about thirty dollars, it has a nice price. Although, for twenty dollars more, you can always get McAfee Security Center, which serves as a full protection package against every form of computer security issue. However, if you’ve already got a great spam and pop up filter, you don’t really need to worry about that.

So our take is this: Give the trial download a try, see if you like it, and then consider buying the full package.

Until then, just make sure you don’t leave yourself open. Download Avira or AVGFree for now, give Panda a try, and see which you prefer.
