Nexperience announced today that Vodafone, one of the world’s leading mobile communications companies, has decided to use the NexPerience System for pre-launch testing and validation of their handsets and phone applications.
An efficient testing facility to ensure that when a product is launched into the market place it meets the high standards demanded by consumers is likely to be a major consideration for any company, but this can be particularly challenging for those larger companies whose partners are more likely to be scattered right across the globe.
According to NexPerience, “some of the most challenging aspects in the mobile delivery chain are access to handsets and networks, and on-device automated testing, so mobile operators, handset vendors, and ISVs are able to efficiently deliver and sustain high-quality services to their customers”.
In comes the NexPerience solution to these challenges, which is a “powerful, functional testing and management solution that automates mobile handset end-user activities and validates the user experience on actual handsets”.
What this effectively means is that Vodafone’s global network of premium partners can gain remote and shared access to the handsets via a web based interface so that manufacturers, developers and testers can all collaborate to pre-launch test, validate and monitor handsets, applications and services.
The phones keys touch screens and QWERTY keyboards can all be operated in the same way that any regular user would use them so that handsets can be thoroughly put through their paces in order to identify and rectify any potential problems and glitches before they are finally released on the market.
The system will also help Vodafone reduce the costs and logistics of the pre-deployment process according to NexPerience.
“We are delighted that Vodafone has selected our system to help them fulfil their mission,” said Eran Yaniv, CEO of NexPerience. “Our ability to support new devices quickly enables NexPerience to provide Vodafone with a unique solution for testing pre-launched devices, and supporting and enhancing the breadth and depth of their existing testing process.”
NexPerience is based in Petach Tivkva in Israel and was founded in 2006 by Eran Yaniv, the current CEO. It also has service sites in the USA and in the UK with more expected in the coming year. Its mission is to “provide the mobile ecosystem with automated testing solutions through a suite of advanced products that execute testing on actual mobile handsets”.
