It would seem that the ultrabook is on the rise once more, with Intel providing the key marketing it’s up to the manufacturers to put the package together in order to present the buyer with a cool looking desk top replacement that is powerful, thin and light too. The Lesance NB S5441 / L is the latest ultrabook from Unitcom, it is a fourteen incher, with i7 processors, Intel graphics & chipset and will start up fast. There is not more to say about this nice looking machine, so we might as well take a closer look at what’s underneath that shiny exterior, the Lesance NB S5441 / L has a 14 inch screen with LCD HD non glossy colour support with a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolutions and a built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera as standard.

It will be running on the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (SP1) operating system and is powered by the latest version of the Intel Core i7 3517U processor with a 1.9 GHz to 3.0 GHz clock speed and 2 core HT Intel cache of 4MB (4 threads total). There is support for the Intel HM76 Express Chipset and the video graphics come from the Intel HD Graphics 4000 card with integrated CPU. While there is up to 4 GB of DDR3-1333 DIMM internal memory, a 500 GB 2.5 hard disk drive (HDD) and a handy light and thin 64 GB (mSATA) solid state drive (SSD) for dual storage solutions.

Networking uses the normal IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi LAN and 1000 BASE-T Ethernet LAN. Other features such as connectivity offers a single fast connecting USB 3.0 port, two standard style USB 2.0 ports, an audio port, the GigabitLAN, D-Sub out, Built-in stereo speakers and a useful multi card reader. This ultrabook measures up at 19 mm (H) x 333 mm (W) × 230 mm (D) and it weighs in at just 1.67 kilos and this is with the lithium-ion battery pack installed that Unitcom say will offer the user about 5 hours and 20 minutes of power.

This might be a well featured ultrabook but Unitcom have priced it to start from just under $900, which is quite reasonable when you consider the features and specs available.
