Tsukumo launches the eX.computer note N156J-820B
The Japanese based computer maker Tsukumo has been showing off some interesting laptops recently, the latest addition to the range is the eX.computer note N156J-820B, as 15.6 inch, Intel Core i7 powered laptop with a Nividia graphics and slim solid date drive for storage. This laptop appears to follow all the rules required by Intel to be classed as an ultra book and yet it seems that Tsukumo have decided that is not the route for this machine, despite it being light, slim and fast starting from cold too. Maybe this is a good opportunity for a buyer to get a good ultra book for reasonable price.
That is enough talk for now so let us take a closer look at the eX.computer note N156J-820B; it comes with a 15.6 inch screen with LCD Full HD anti-glare and LED backlight. It also offers a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolution and there is an unspecified built-in web camera. It is running on the Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and is powered by the Intel Core i7-3630QM processor 2.40 GHz to 3.40 GHz max with turbo boost and 6 MB L3 Cache.
There is support for the Intel HM76 Express chipset, while the graphics and video will be coming from the NVIDIA GeForce GT650M & Intel HD Graphics 4000 with NVIDIA Optimus technology. There is 8 GB of PC3-10600 DDR3 SODIMM memory but this can be up to 16 GB if required and there is the 128 GB solid state drive (SSD) for Serial ATA for storage purposes. Networking is covered by the RJ-45 port with 1000 Base-T/100 Base-TX/10 BASE-T Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth V4.0 and the IEEE 802.11 b / g / n Wireless LAN.
Other features include the two standard USB 2.0 ports, two super fast USB 3.0 ports, Multi-Card Reader, DVD Super Multi drive, mini D-sub15-pin & HDMI display output and Built-in stereo speakers with subwoofer. This thin and light laptop measures up at 380 mm (W) x 262 mm (D) x 35.5 mm to 36.6 mm (H) and weighs in at 2.8 kilos with the lithium-ion battery installed that Tsukumo claim should be good for up to four hours of power. This eX.computer note has a starting price of just under $1,150, which is about right for a laptop featuring these specifications.
