Toshiba prepare to launch the dynabook Qosmio T852/D8FB
The Japan based manufacturer Toshiba have been bringing out some seriously interesting laptops recently and here is another new one that follows this trend. It is the dynabook Qosmio T852/D8FB and this entertainment machine is about to go sale in Japan. Although there is no news as to if or when it will become available in other markets, it is still an interesting machine and worth taking a look at.
The dynabook Qosmio T852/D8FB comes with a 15.6 inch wide liquid crystal corresponding FHD glass-less 3D LED backlight power saving Display with a pixel resolution of 1920 × 1080 in 2D and 1357 × 763 when in glasses free, 3D mode. There is of course, a built in 1.0 mega pixel web camera.
Intel Core i7-3610QM processor with a 2.30 GHz clock speed, which can be up 3.30 GHz when using the Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. While the graphics and video will be provided through the highly capable NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M graphics card.
There is up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM available and a huge 1 TB hard disk drive (HDD) for storage purposes. As well as the built in BDXL drive, a CS tuner x 2 degree, BS/110 the ground as well as the built in Harman Kardon stereo speakers for complete entertainment value.
This laptop will be running Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (SP1) operating system with MS Office Home and Business 2010. However, it is a little underpowered in the battery with an estimated power reserve of just over two hours, so this laptop will not be venturing too far away from a mains power source.
Currently the dynabook Qosmio T852/D8FB is about to go on sale in Japan, where it will have a starting price works out around $2,800, how this will price up in other markets is yet to be seen.
