Toshiba has long wanted to get going on enhancing its already top-quality gaming computer range for all those hard-core gamers out there. So it is with great excitement for gaming fans across the world that they have joined forces with NVIDIA, and have now released something a bit special.
Enter the most powerful gaming laptops ever to be produced by Toshiba: Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 and Qosmio X305-Q706. Like most laptops, the names could have been a bit snappier, but it’s what’s inside that counts. The laptops combine the horsepower of two discrete GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs with NVIDIA SLI® technology, leading to unbelievable gaming performance.
And what’s inside does not disappoint. These are the first laptops ever to include three NVIDIA GPUs, which put simply means maximum performance and minimum noise when operating, a good combination by any standards.
Carl Pinto, the vice president of product development at Toshiba America, claimed that the urge was to create an “extreme performance gaming machine”, and it seems that they succeeded, much to the delight of the gaming community.
He also stated that they would offer this “high level of performance, quality, and flexibility” from as little as $1,999, which is well within the budgets of most serious gamers, and if the machines deliver what they promise, there will be many happy customers out there.
And if you still live at home and are getting hassle from your mum (come on – own up!) you can also switch to a quiet mode to let her get on with her knitting in peace. This is as a result of Hybrid SLI technology, which enables the system to be powered down as required.
This is a truly world-class gaming laptop, and is set to leave everything that came previously in its wake. I don’t know about you, but I certainly know what I’ll be asking Santa to leave in my stocking this year.
