The slim Razer Blade gaming laptop is launched

Mention Razer and straight away the mind goes into gaming mode overload! Yet the new Blade gaming laptop from Razer is something different as the first thing you will notice is how thin it is at just under 17 mm, but that does not mean that this is not a real gaming laptop! The Razer Blade comes with a fourteen inch screen, Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia video card and plenty of choices and options to make the laptop personal to the users gaming demands.

So, we know a little about this cool looking laptop, it’s time to take a much closer look! The Razer Blade has a 14 inch screen with HD+ 16:9 Ratio LED backlight and offers a 1600 x 900 of pixel resolutions. It is going to be running on the Windows 8 (64-Bit) operating system and powered by the Intel Core i7-4702HQ Quad Core Processor with Hyper Threading 2.2 GHz to 3.2 GHz with turbo boost. There is support for the Mobile Intel PCHM 8 series HM87 chipset and the graphics are powered by the Intel HD4600 & NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM and Optimus Technology.

With 8 GB of on-board memory (DDR3L-1600MHz) and a choice of either the 128 GB, 256 GB of the 512 GB SATA III solid state drive (SSD) for storage purposes. For networking there is the cool Killer Wireless-N 1202 (802.11 a/b/g/n with Bluetooth 4.0. Other features include the built-in 1.3 mega pixel HD web camera, Razer Synapse 2.0 Enabled, Built-in stereo speakers, Backlit anti-ghosting keyboard, 3.5 mm microphone/headphone combo port, Array microphone, three fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4a audio and video output and Dolby Home Theater v4.

As for the size, this laptop measures up at 13.6 inches (345 mm) (W) x 9.3 inches (235mm) (D) x 0.66 inches (16.8 mm) (H) and it weighs in a just 4.1 pounds (1.88 kg). Razer have priced the entry level machine (128 GB) to start from $1,800, however the high end (512 GB) model will start from $2,300! As you can see there is already a huge price difference and that is without any options or upgrades.
