The new X17E gaming laptop from Digital Storm

Here is one for the gamers, it’s from the California based designer and manufacturer Digital Storm they call it the X17E! We call it awesome! This is a huge machine, weighing almost thirteen pounds and offering the user a big seventeen inch screen, Intel processors and Nvidia graphics, no gamer would expect anything less, of course! The Signature Edition will feature a custom paint job and distinctive branding. However, the X17E has a base model, which we have the specs for, it starts at an affordable $1,753, so could the X17E be gamer’s heaven? Let’s take a closer look at those specs to see.

The new X17E gaming laptop will feature a 17.3 inch screen with a 16:9, glossy surface; LED back lit display with a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolutions and a built-in 2.0 mega pixel high resolution digital video camera. It will be running on the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) operating system, powered by the Intel Core i7-3820 with 3.6 GHz Turbo Mode to 3.8 Ghz Quad Core 10 MB Cache, Intel X79 Express Chipset and graphics will come from the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M with 2 GB.

There is up to 32 GB of DDR3 SDRAM four 204Pin SODIMM sockets, support DDR3 1333/1600MHz. While there is an Intel 120 GB solid state drive (SSD) (520 Series) (SATA 6Gb/s) and a 500 GB 7200RPM (SATA 3Gb/s) hard disk drive (HDD) for storage purposes. The built-in Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Internal 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN  and Bluetooth Combo half mini card module for networking, while connectivity has an HDMI 1.4a output Port, two fast connecting USB 3.0 Ports with an eSATA Port (powered USB 3.0 (AC/DC) combo) and two standard USB 2.0 Ports.

The X17E is not small it measures up at 16.5 inches (w) x 11.3 inches (d) x 2.2 inches to 2.4 inches (h) and weighs in at a hefty 12.13 pounds with Polymer Smart Lithium-Ion (8 cell) 78.44WH Battery Pack in place. Digital Storm has priced the new X17E gaming laptop to start at $1,753, but there are plenty of tempting options and upgrades designed to make the buyer spend much more on their new laptop.
