When Toshiba launches a new laptop it used to be a big occasion, but these days with so many brands available, the launch of the new L series design Satellite L875-S7209 seemed to have gone off with little or no fuss at all. Toshiba have created this shiny cased desktop replacement, which offers the user a large 17.3 inch screen and the Sandy Bridge version of the Intel Core i3 processor and graphics cards. Basically, Toshiba have built this laptop to compete well within this highly competitive sector of the laptop market.

The Satellite L875-S7209 comes with a 17.3 inch screen with a widescreen HD+ TruBrite LED Backlit display with a 1600 x 900 and a built in web camera and microphone. It will be running on the Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) operating system with SP1 and powered by the Intel Core i3-2370M Processor, with the video and graphics coming from the capable Mobile Intel 3000 HD Graphics card. There is just 4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz memory and a larger than average 640 GB hard disk drive (HDD) with 5400 rpm, Serial ATA.

Networking is provided by the usual 10/100 Ethernet LAN and Wi-Fi Wireless networking 802.11 b/g/n LAN; there is no Bluetooth connection available on this model. Other features on this laptop come from the single standard type USB 2.0 port with Sleep and Charge, Intel QuickSync technology, two super fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output port and the RGB port. The Satellite L875-S7209 weighs in at a reasonable 6.3 lbs with the Li-Ion 48Wh 6-Cell battery pack installed that Toshiba say will be good for up to 4.83 hours of power.
