Here is another new offering from the cool named Mouse Computer, it is the 11.6 inch NEXTGEAR NOTE i300BA6 and it joins the rest of the G-Tune series available from this manufacturer. They are classing this as a small and easily portable gaming laptop, but the features may not be to the liking of many gamers and this means that the buyer is going to have to make changes to the basic spec and increase the final price somewhat. The NEXTGEAR NOTE i300BA6 comes with an 11.6 inch screen with a glare type LCD display with HD LED backlight offering a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolutions and built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera.
This laptop can be running either Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit or the latest 8 version and is powered by the Intel Core i3-3110M Processor with a clock speed of 2.40 GHz and a 3 MB Smart Cache. There is support for the Intel HM76 Express chipset and the video graphics are coming from the NVIDIA GeForce GT650M graphics card with support from the NVIDIA Optimus technology. It has 8 GB of PC3-12800 DDR3 SODIMM with 4 GB × 2 in dual channel up to 16 GB and there is a useful 320 GB SerialATAII 5400 rpm hard disk drive (HDD). For networking, there is a module compliant with IEEE 802.11 b / g / n with Bluetooth V4.0 + LE and a 1000 Base-T/100 Base-TX/10 BASE-T (RJ-45) connection.
Other features include the D-sub & HDMI display outputs, two super fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, a single standard USB 2.0 port, stereo speaker system and a multi card reader. This laptop measures in a nice manageable 287 mm (W) × 207 mm (D) × 12.7 mm to 37.1 mm (H) and weighs in at 1.8 kilos even with the lithium ion battery installed that Mouse Computer say will be good for up to four hours of use. Mouse Computer have put a middle of the road price on the NEXTGEAR NOTE i300BA6, $878 for a laptop with these features is not bad at all, it just depends on how tempted you are with the available extras that Mouse Computer offers.
