Here is a new laptop from Asus, its part of the VivoBook range and it goes under the model number S300CA-BBI5T01. Basically, what Asus has done here is opened up the medium range laptop market and gone in under pricing the competition to the tune of a couple of hundred dollars. The S300CA-BBI5T01 offers a neat little 13.3 inch screen, with Intel Core i5 processors, 4 GB of RAM and Windows 8 OS that works perfectly with touchscreen display feature, all wrapped up in a smart looking brushed aluminium case.
From what we gather from the limited specs and features the S300CA-BBI5T01 it offers a 13.3 inch display with a high definition widescreen touch screen. It is going to be running the Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit operating system, with UMA graphics card and will be powered by the 3rd generation of Intel Core i5-3337U processor with a 1.8 GHz up to 2.7 GHz processor speed with Turbo Boost and a 3MB L3 cache. There is a handy 4 GB of DDR3 system memory and medium sized 500 GB hard disk drive (HDD) at 5400 rpm.
For networking there is the 10/100/1000 Mbps Fast Ethernet LAN and the high speed wireless LAN (802.11n). Other features include the built-in 1.0 mega pixel web camera and microphone, Multiformat media reader, a single super fast connecting USB 3.0 port and two standard style USB 2.0 ports. This new Vivobook laptop from Asus, has been priced to sell at a shade under $600, which is great when you consider that other laptops with similar specs and features could cost as much as $200 more, so the benefits of this laptop are obvious.
