Lenovo are offering some terrific savings on the fourteen inch IdeaPad Y470p laptop, for this week only a buyer could save up to $350 on the Lenovo starting price, with delivery estimated a week later. There is something smart looking about the Lenovo IdeaPad Y470p with that brown grain style top and matt black casing, it looks so stylish and comes with a decent specs too for the $749 price tag.
The thing about launching a new 11.6 inch laptop into an already busy marketplace is always going to be a challenge, but if anyone can do it, Asus can. The Eee PC 1225B is smart looking piece of kit and it has the added bonus of being powered by AMD’s most powerful E-series accelerated processor the Brazos E-450. This laptop has nice clean lines and comes in a choice of colour, Matte Gray, Red or Silver and Glossy Black or White, other than that it looks very similar to other Asus models still available.
Samsung have announced that they will be launching their latest ultraportable laptop the 11.6 inch NP305U1A-A01 into the European market with a starting price of around $490. This price tag is not bad when you consider that underneath that shiny casing, there is a, AMD E-450 processor, AMD Radeon HD6320M graphics and it has a useful 500 GB hard drive too.
Yet another new laptop come notebook from Asus is on the cards, the only issue with this “new” machine is that it does not really appear to be offering anything new, as opposed to what is already out there on the market, from Asus and other brands! It is amazing how these manufacturers think up new models that offer much of the same as the previous new models.
The computer maker MSI have released an updated version of the Wind U270, which was initially launched earlier in the year powered by the AMD E-350 Fusion processor, this has been replaced by the much faster 1.65 GHz AMD E-450 dual processor and when combined with the AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics card offers much improved graphics.
Samsung have been showing off the new Series 7 laptops, there are two for the consumer to choose from the 15.6 inch version, which comes with an Intel 2.20 GHz quad-core Core i7-2675QM processor with the latest AMD HD 6750 graphics card. While the compact 14 inch model that uses the Intel dual core Core i5-2430M processor with the AMD 6490M graphics chip, it seems that screen size, graphics and processor may be the only differences in the base models.
