I have been looking for an intuitive archiving system for a while now. I tried SMART archives and a bunch of others but they were either too complicated or just not up to par.

I tip my hat to you. This was SO easy to install and IS a perfect combo of form & function.

Hi Jim. Glad you notice the improved load times with version 3.0. That’s one of the major reasons for the complete rewrite.

Of course the added features and admin section as well.

In the coming days, I’ll be releasing 3.1 which will have some other bells and whistles, so be watching out for it.

Thanks for your kind words Jason.

Making it more simple for installation was a huge part of the complete rewrite of the plugin.

I’ve been going over support emails and feature requests and a lot of users had issues with getting it to work on a dedicated page.

As you and others have seen, with 3.0 it’s not an issue anymore.

Adding in an admin section was also needed so users didn’t need to mess with the core plugin file. I received a lot of emails from users who broke the plugin doing that.

Having the admin section now allows me to add in even more functions and features with ease of use for the end user.

Be on the lookout for 3.1 in the coming days and of course, I’ll post when it’s released.

Installing the plugin and implementing it couldn’t have been easier. Like Char I didn’t even modify my CSS. I basically just plugged it into my normal template and it looks great. I might get adventurous one day and play around with the look some, but I really like it the way it is. Thanks for making it look so good and so easy to implement.

Hi Christine, long time to see

Just to clarify, I’m not the creator of the original plugin which would be version 2.2 and backwards.

I took over the development from my friend Shawn (yeah, another Sean).

However, as of this new release (3.0), it’s been completely rewritten.

In a couple days, there will be a 3.1 release with a couple more features.
