Well it seems this week is bug fix and patch week for a lot of software, programs and WordPress plugins.

First I had to release a bug fix about 24 hours after a major release of SRG Clean Archives and now about 5 days after Skype 3.2.0.145 was released, this evening the Skype crew released version 3.2.0.148 with a few bug fixes.

In this latest release of Skype, the following was fixed:

  • bugfix: Options has compatibility issues with screen readers
  • bugfix: Upgrading from Skype did not work
  • bugfix: No voice heard on some services

It’s great that the Skype development team is on top of things like this… it’s what makes Skype a nice peace of software to have as a staple for any computer.

I’m taking the same approach with the SRG Clean Archives plugin. When I find a bug or someone reports one to me, I try and get it handled within 24 hours or less of it being reported.

As most of my readers are users of Skype and a few of you are users of the SRG Clean Archives plugin, it’s good for all of us to help and report bugs or quirky things with software, especially when it’s provided free of charge.

It’s kind of a way of giving back to the developers who put hours upon hours into the creation and support of the programs they put out into the world just for the love of code.

Speaking of support, link love and thanks goes out to Ray Fowler for his PayPal donation for SRG Clean Archives moments after he installed it.
