As most people know, a lot of my Geek With Laptop readers, RSS subscribers, friends and clients use Skype to keep in contact, so I figured since moments ago a new release of Skype was unleashed to the world, it was time for a post.
So what can you expect from this latest release?
For starters, a couple of installer improvements (thank you Skype Development Team) and of course a few needed bug fixes.
Here is a complete detailed list:
- improvement: Installer Vista support improved
- change: Internet Explorer plugin updated
- bugfix: Call quality slightly improved
- bugfix: Installer did not remember previous install location
- bugfix: Latvian installer was not working
- bugfix: Skype displayed blanks under audio settings
- bugfix: Some rich mood messages were not shown correctly
If you’re a Skype user like me, be sure to download the latest release right away.
For those of you new to the game, you’re probably asking yourself “what is Skype?”
Skype is internet communications. Skype is software that lets you use your computer and internet connection to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world.
