Just ahead of the CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Samsung have dropped in a cool new version of the Series 7 Chronos laptop. This is brilliant looking machine that will provide the user with some interesting new features as well as the brand power behind Samsung.
There are only a few specs and details currently available for the Series 7 Chronos, it has a 15.6 inch screen with full HD 1080p resolution display offering 300-nits of brightness and a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolutions. It is running on the latest Windows 8 operating system and powered by the 2.4GHz Intel Core i7 3635QM processor with 6 MB cache. Graphics and video come from the AMD Radeon HD 8870M GPU with 2 GB GDDR5 graphics memory. While there is up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of hard disk drive (HDD) storage. Other features include the JBL optimized speakers, a built in HD 720p web camera, two fast USB 3.0 ports, two standard USB 2.0 ports, HDMI & VGA display ports. This laptop measures up at 376 mm x 249.9 mm x 20.9 mm and weighs in at 2.35 Kilos with the battery pack installed that offers up to 11.5 hours of power.
According to David Song, who is the Senior Vice President of IT & Mobile Communications at Samsung Electronics. He said in the official press release, that;
2012 was a definitive year for Samsung’s PC business – we expanded our line up, taking advantage of the new form factors and consumer demand. This led to significant growth in the Industry. In 2013, we will continue to focus on innovation delivering products that fit into customer lifestyles while maintaining Samsung’s high-end design and performance standards. The new Series 7 Chronos and Ultra products are just two examples of what you can expect to see from us throughout the year.
We have not got any prices or details of availability yet, but this is the first look at the all new Series 7 Chronos from Samsung.
