We’re getting used to seeing new SmartPhones and Netbooks and other hand held devices appearing on the market now, in fact it isn’t easy keeping up with them all. The latest one we’ve caught a glimpse of is the new Samsung i7500 phone which has been dubbed Galaxy in France.
Ok so we knew it was coming but it was only this week that Samsung proudly showed off the new phone at the CommunicAsia exhibition in Singapore.
So if you’re on the hunt for a new phone then what might the Samsung Galaxy i7500 have in store for you?
First of all the i7500 is slender and sleek at 115 millimetres by 56 millimetres by 11.9 millimetres. Altogether it’s a nice looking phone and the specs aren’t too bad either. In fact it is reputed to be the best Android phone out there and the nearest thing to the Apple iPhone 3G.
It runs with Google’s Android operating system as opposed to Windows and conveniently allows the user access to a range of Google services such as Gmail, YouTube and GoogleMaps so that’s an interesting feature which is bound to appeal to some potential buyers.
The phone has a 3.2 inch HGVA (320 x 480) Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) Screen so doesn’t need a back light. The screen is also made of tempered glass which is also scratch-resistant so easier to keep the screen clean and clear.
The Galaxy doesn’t have a physical keyboard as such as it has a touch screen but can display a virtual QWERTY keyboard, which may actually help to persuade resistant customers over to touch screens. It doesn’t have a trackball either and instead uses five buttons and a directional keypad.
It also comes with a 5 megapixel video camera on board with auto focus and LED flash as well as GPS (which can integrate with GoogleMaps), Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, MicroUSB, 3.5mm headset jack, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and supports WCDMA.
The new Samsung SmartPhone has 8GB Internal memory and up to 32GB external memory.
If you want one it will be available in France and then Germany some time before the end of June or the beginning of July and in other markets during the second half of the year although as yet we have no idea what the Galaxy is likely to cost.

Samsung’s new i7500 smart phone is fabulous. Its features are exceptional…just waiting for its arrival in the market. Samsung phones are very stylish and brittle. Good post on a cell which has not launched yet.
