Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Full Specifications Finally Revealed
For quite some time now we have been looking forward to a string of announcements from Samsung. One of these announcements included the launch of the much awaited Galaxy Note 2. The predecessor of this device did very well in the market and it was no slouch. This time around, Samsung has managed to make the new Samsung Galaxy Note even better than before. The new device comes with a refined design as well as various technology updates which overall make this device of an unorthodox form factor, absolutely fabulous.
Samsung made the announcements at IFA 2012 in Berlin, Germany. The announcement confirmed several rumors we had heard about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 prior to the official launch. The device boasts a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 as well as a true 16:9 aspect ratio. The Super AMOLED HD display offers crystal clear and crisp graphics under any lighting conditions.
It was rumored a couple of weeks back that the Galaxy Note 2 would look similar to Galaxy S III. Sure enough, the resemblance between the two devices is striking as well as obvious. The Note 2 is a bit heavier than its predecessor, but it is also thinner as it measures 9.4mm as opposed to 9.65mm of the previous Note. It will be available in the usual 16GB, 32GB and 64GB on board memory options with the added advantage of a microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, 4G LTE will be available for those who have access to said networks while the Note 2 comes standard with HSPA+ 21mbps for all your data needs.
Reiterating my previous statement that the first Galaxy Note was not a slouch at all, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a complete powerhouse. It touts a 1.6GHz quadcore processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. There’s a 1.9 megapixel camera up front complimented by an 8 megapixel camera on the back. A 3,100mAh battery will keep things running smoothly for a long time. The Galaxy Note 2 ships with the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system as standard. There’s a neat new feature called Air View, which allows users to preview content without having to open it by just hovering the S Pen over the display.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be available in Titanium Gray and Marble White Colors. Phased shipping of this device will begin in October. European countries will be receiving this device first and there has been no definitive word as to when US shipments will commence.
