PC Koubou launches the Lesance NB G5541

Once again the Japan based computer maker PC Koubou have been busy launching another new laptop, this time it is the Lesance NB G5541 a 15.6 inch model, with i7 processors and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics. It is probably meant for the gaming market and really, it does tick all of the gamer’s boxes. However, you have to think that will a gamer be going for this when they can go for something that is a little bit more known outside of Japan, this is the problem that face manufacturers like PC Koubou.

The Lesance NB G5541 comes with a 15.6 inch colour LCD with full HD support gloss a 1920 X 1080 of pixel resolution, which should be good enough to please the gaming community. It is powered by the Intel Core i7 3610QM with a clock speed of 2.3 GHz to 3.3 GHz and 4 core HT cache 6 MB with 8 threads in total it supports the Intel HM76 Express chipset and graphics are powered by the Nvidia GeForce GT 650M 1GB graphics card.

There is 8 GB of DDR3 1333 made up with 2 x 4 GB. when it comes to storage there is a 500 GB hard disk drive (HDD), as well as an Intel 330 120 GB solid state drive (SSD) and a 8x DVD Super Multi Drive. Networking is from the normal 1000BASE-T and IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. Connectivity offers two super fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, a single standard speed USB 2.0 port, a eSATA & USB 3.0 Combo port, the essential HDMI out and a multi card reader for SD, MMC and MEMORYSTICK.

The laptop measures up at 16.3 mm to 41.4 mm (H) x 374 mm (W) x 250 mm (D) and it weighs in at 2.8 kilos approx with the Lithium-ion battery installed that PC Koubou say should be good for 2 hours and 30 minutes of power, which is nothing to get excited about.

Currently this laptop is on sale in Japan where PC Koubou are asking $1,254 for it with the features above, naturally there will be options and upgrades available for buyers who wish to beef it up a bit.
