I'm not defending our government, I think it still has a long way to go yet, but at least we aren't in a society where you can't walk down the street without worrying about being robbed or even killed. You're allowed to voice your opinion, as loud as you want, but no matter what you say not everyone is going to agree with you. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, but atleast our country is somewhere close. Times have changed since the constitution and our country has changed with it (unfortunatly, as you note, not always for the better).
