Most of my Geek With Laptop readers and visitors have what I consider to be a “normal” day (or night) job to put beans on the table and of course, what some consider “normal” will vary from person to person.
Some of my readers don’t even have jobs, they might be students or living off state unemployment but lets leave that subject matter for another discussion down the road.
Disclaimer: To protect the people, places and things involved in what I’m about to quote on my blog, I won’t say where this job description came from or who it’s directly about but this is almost a word for word quote:
I am self employed as a Dominatrix.
Basically that means I dominate submissive men for a living. Things like feminize, beating and humiliating them is normal. As an added bonus, I do it while wearing a strapon.
It pays really well. I make well over $200.00 per hour. I perform live sessions and I also do telephone and webcam sessions.
You’re either in shock, have passed out, laughing your butt off, puzzled or saying “hey, why are you posting my job description”.
When I read this job description, I had all but two of the above reactions:
- I didn’t pass out
- it’s not my job description
For the record, I’m a very open minded person and don’t judge people for their choices of work or play, just don’t force your ways on me. Let me make my own decisions.
So here’s the question of the day, what would you do if you heard that someone you knew, was a friend of, a co worker, etc. had being a dominatrix as a job description?
Would you run, hide or yell out “beat me, whip me, make me write back checks!”?

Aesthetical focused as i am, the only thing i would ask would be: “But there must be pretty ugly fellas among them, or? What do you do then?”
The rest is fine with me, i am also very open minded – not into that stuff, but it’s ok for me if it pleases others and if i don’t have to watch it
I happen to know a few people that are into such “kinky” things, but I don’t know of any who made a career out of it.
Personally, I think that for what kind of service it is, it is too expensive. Certainly it has some risks, and you have to be able to make a living out of it.
I would definitely be surprised, but not to the point of screaming or anything of the sort. It’s an unconventional job, but a job nonetheless.
But unfortunately I think that most people would be scared to approach her upon reading such a job description.
@Manuel Martensen: Wondering if some of the fellas are ugly or not is similar to if people like this sort of thing or not… the old saying, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
However, from what I know about this (which isn’t a whole lot), usually the dominatrix and other “staff” is nice looking and the people being beat down are not… hehe

What little I know about this subject, people who are going to partake in these types of arts and activities should be well trained, experienced, and knowledgeable.
There is also personal and safety issues involved with the activity or individual participants, so paying a professional who takes these things into consideration I think would be good.
$200+ an hour seems like a lot but like you said, for what is involved, it seems a fair price, not that I’m going to run out and use the services of a dominatrix
I don’t know people that dominate professionally, but I’ve had friends share that they do it for fun.
Hell, if I found a friend, family, co-worker etc. was in the business of dominatrix. Wow, good question.
I may look at them a little differently for a while considering I more than likely could not stop thinking about their profession as I am interacting with them, but after that had passed I probably wouldn’t think twice about it so-long as they didn’t press their ways on me or really bring it up around me.
