I haven't really found issue with this unit. It's got some decent features, the range is fine as is signal quality and strength. The TM-G5240 has it's own installation exe program, so for those that want to just set it up that way, it's a nicer step by step procedure for the novice. You can still use the browser to configure for more advanced features. It is what it is, simple & inexpensive, expectations for it shouldn't be for a commercial Cisco router

Not to give the TM-G5240 a black eye in my last post moment’s ago, because other users reviews aren’t glowing. WLAN light is out, the cat 5 ports work fine still, but no wireless. I couldn't access the router thru the browser, so it's definitely locked. Anyway, replaced it with a DI-524 spinoff that T-Mobile sells (TM-G5240). Works fine and was around $ 20, may buy a 2nd as a spare as the user reviews aren't glowing for the router, but I was only after a basic router anyway. It supports WEP & WPA, so at least that's relatively modern ?

Felt the same way about my D-Link DI-614+. By chance did yours come with 32 MB of RAM or 16?Apparently there is a way to unlock them to use the 32 MB of RAM if it has it but I haven't figured it out yet.

Version 2’s are nice. Care to list your customizations in DD-WRT? I'd be interested to see what all you change aside from the power output.

Hey, thanks for the comments about DD-WRT, I’ve been meaning to run some custom firmware on my WRT54G.
