MSI readies the Wind U270 notebook

Here comes another new laptop from MSI the Wind U270, its compact and smart looking while at the same is able to the consumer a wide range of features and specs. These include the 11.6 inch display, AMD E2-1800 processor and Radeon HD7340 Discrete-Class Graphics. Basically, this is just updated version of the current of the older version, but never the less it does have some decent specs.

The updated Wind U270 notebook comes with an 11.6 inch glossy 16:9 LCD display with a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera too, which is great for face to face online meeting etc!

It will be powered by the AMD Dual Core E2-1800 with 1.7 GHz 1 MB and the graphics come from the AMD Radeon HD7340 Discrete-Class Graphics card. There is 2 GB of DDR3 but there is an empty slot SO-DIMM1 making up to 8 GB max possible. The 2.5 inch SATA hard disk drive (HDD) offers a reasonable 320 GB (5400 rpm) of storage.

Networking is covered by the built in Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, as well as Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology. While connectivity comes from the fast connecting USB 3.0 port, a couple of standard USB 2.0 ports and there is a handy 6 in 1 multi card reader offering XD, SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC and Memory Stick access.

This laptop measures in at 31 mm (W) x 297 mm (H) x 190 mm (D) and weighs in at just 1.39 kilos and that is with the battery pack installed that MSI claim is good for around 4.6 hours of power, how that relates in the real world will be seen once users get their hands on the laptop.

MSI are expecting to release the Wind U270 notebook by the end of this week when it will come with a starting price of around $590, which is not a high price to pay for laptop offering a reasonable amount of spec and features.
