Mouse Computer launches new G Tune laptop

Here is something new that is being aimed right into the gaming market, it is the latest G Tune laptop from Mouse Computer and it goes under the name of the NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA4. This laptop has a big 17.3 inch screen, Intel Core i7 processors and a choice of graphics cards from the Intel HD 4000 or the Nvidia GeForce models. However, there is much more to this gaming laptop, it is not just down to processor and graphics, although they feature high on a gamers wish list. It is how the whole thing works as one unit and in the past we have seen that these G Tune machine offer the buyer good value for money even though it does touch $2,000.

Let’s have a closer look at the NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA4, it comes with a big 17.3 inch glossy LCD display with back light LED display and full HD with a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolutions, they have also included an integrated 2.0 mega pixel web camera, ideal for gamers that like to see their victims. It is powered by the capable Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor with 2.30 GHz and a 6 MB support smart cache, however it can go up to a 3.30 GHz maximum when 4 core.

There is support for the Intel HM77 Express chipset and graphics come from the Intel HD 4000 graphics card with support from the NVIDIA Optimus technology. There is a massive 8 GB of PC3-12800 DDR3 SODIMM, a 500 GB SerialATAII 5400rpm (connection SATAII) hard disk drive (HDD) and there is a the DVD ± R DVD SuperMulti drive with two-layer support. Other features include the single standard style USB 2.0 port, three fast USB 3.0 ports, eSATA shared with one of the USB 3.0 ports and a handy Multi-Card Reader. Networking is from the 1000 Base-T, 100 Base-TX, 10 BASE-T (RJ-45) Ethernet, Bluetooth V4.0 + LE and the IEEE 802.11 b / g / n Wireless LAN.

Finally this is not a small laptop, it measures up at 412 mm (W) × 276 mm (D) × 45.4 mm to 41.8 mm (H) and naturally that means it is going to weigh in at 3.95 kilos with the lithium-ion battery installed that Mouse Computer say will give the user up 3.5 hours of power, but we suspect that is not going to while gaming! The NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA4 is gradually rolling out into various markets where it has a starting of just over $1,900 so buyers could be looking closer to $2,200 once they have chosen some extras from the Mouse Computer menu.
