The Japan based Mouse Computer has launched a new large screen laptop aimed at the gaming market, it is called the NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA1. This will be the latest addition to the G-Tune series of computers and will be offering a 17.3 inch display, Intel i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics as well as a whole host of other features and the NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA1 is the entry level machine.
The NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA1 is the entry level laptop but it still comes with the same 17.3 inch full HD liquid crystal display glossy backlight display with a 1920 × 1080 of pixel resolutions and with a built in web camera, that features across the range.
It will however be powered by the Intel Core i7-2670QM processor that offers a 2.20 GHz to 3.10 GHz 6 MB support smart cache HT maximum quad core supporting Intel HM77 Express chipset and the all important graphics are provided by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M graphics card with 2 GB of GDDR5.
There is up to 32 GB of PC3-10600 DDR3 SODIMM available and 320 GB Serial ATAII 5400 rpm hard disk drive (HDD) available for storage. Networking is covered by the normal 1000 Base-T, 100 Base-TX and 10 BASE-T (RJ-45) Ethernet, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and there is Module compliant with Bluetooth V3.0 + HS
Other features include three fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, a single standard style USB 2.0 port and a choice of Multi-Card Reader depending on the buyers needs. The body measures 412 mm (W) x 276 mm (D) x 45.4 mm to 41.8 mm (H) and weighs in at just under four kilos with the built-in lithium-ion battery in place that Mouse Computer say should be good for around three and half hours of use, but we suspect that does not mean full on gaming!
The Mouse Computer NEXTGEAR-NOTE i960BA1 is currently on sale in Japan with prices starting at around $1,900
