Meet the 9 year old computer genius from Macedonia

Marko Calasan

Do you ever look at your geeky kid and wonder if they’ll be an IT whiz or even the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs?

Well get a load of this. Somewhere in Macedonia there’s a young boy who must be the ultimate geek in the making. His name is Marko Calasan and I would remember that name as I think we’ll be hearing more about him.

At only 9 years old he can navigate his way around a computer and the Internet without any hassle at all (he prefers Bing for searching by the way) but that’s not all, he is also Microsoft Certified not once, not twice, but four times over and is now working on his fifth.

His four certificates are MCP, MCDST, MSCA and MCSE and after his fifth he’ll be a Microsoft Certified Trainer.

You can just imagine the boss’s face can’t you when you call in the Microsoft guy and he can’t even see above the desk. I mean this little guy must have been on a laptop before he was out of nappies.

“I do not remember when I started working on computer. But my first memory is from when I was approximately 3 years old when I was making simple actions like personalising Windows, then installing Windows, making remote desktop connections with workstations and servers on remote locations, and so on” he told Network World when asked about his first memory of working with IT and computers.

“When I started working with computers, I saw the whole spectrum of things that can be done using the computer” he said.

When asked about what SmartPhone he uses he told Network World “I still have no SmartPhone, but I have an HP PDA with Windows Mobile 6 installed on it. Although I have a classic cellular phone and a PDA, I have configured one phone for one customer in one company I am currently managing.”

Impressive or what, this little guy is one mega geek.

With skills like that you can imagine that he’d be in demand to help friends and family sort their computer problems out and let’s face it, we all have too many of those.

“I have too many calls and e-mails for computer troubleshooting” says Marko “and there are so many I have not always had time to provide solutions to all the problems and that is why I like to write books for Windows 7 and my HD educational video lessons too.”

Incredible!
