I’ve also heard people calling it MLK Day.

I’m not 100% sure it’s disrespectful but it is kind of lazy for people to shorten his name.

I guess it would depend on the person calling it MLK Day.

If someone doesn’t like what Martin Luther King stood for, I guess it would be somewhat disrespectful to shorten his name to initials.

People do this with Christmas too… calling it XMas. Eh. Crazy Americans

Another thing that I’ve been hearing from some of the media is that they’ve been calling it ‘MLK Day’ – - – doesn’t that seem a bit disrespectful, or is it just me? Has anyone else heard this?

Hi Devin. I agree, if the stock market is closed, the office should be too.

I also wonder if we’ll ever have another individual like Dr. King.

Where are all our hero’s these days? Yes we have the men and women in the military but where are all the Dr. Kings of the world?

If they’re out there, the media isn’t covering it… at least from what I can tell.

Don’t forget the stock market. I feel if the market is closed shouldn’t the office? Apparently not.

I sometimes wonder if there will ever be another individual like Dr. King that will fight other injustices in this world. Even in this country…
