Maingear launches the Vybe 15 laptop
Initially it seems that Maingear’s new laptop the Vybe 15 might have been designed for the student or home user, but then Maingear has made a serious load of options available and four versions to choose from too! The Vybe is a 15.6 inch laptop, powered by Intel Ivy Bridge Processors and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics that will make a great laptop to suit almost all markets and budgets. This is one of those laptops that has so many different configurations, that it is best to look at the base model, which comes with a 15.6 inch screen with full HD at 1080p, a 16:9 LED Display with Matte Screen and an integrated 1.3 mega pixel web camera.
It will be running on the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system, powered by the Intel Core i5 3360M with a 2.8 GHz to 3.3 GHz, Turbo 3MB L3 Cache HD 4000 and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2GB GDDR5 with Optimus Technology. There is a nice sized Corsair memory with 8 GB of DDR3-1333 SODIMMs (2x4GB), 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA 2.5″ hard disk drive and there is the option to go for the lighter mSATA solid state drive (SSD) with up to 256 GB of storage.
This Maingear laptop has an 8X DVD Dual Layer Burner with THX TruStudio Pro Audio. While connecting to the internet is easy with the Integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wireless connection, On-board Gigabit Ethernet and Integrated Bluetooth Technology Module. Other features include the HDMI & VGA out, Multi-card reader, two fast USB 3.0 ports and a single standard USB 2.0 port. This Vybe 15 laptop measures in at 15.09 inches (D) x 9.83 inches (W) x 1.27 inches (H) and comes with a 49 Wh battery pack that will deliver according to Maingear up to four hours of battery life depending on usage of course!
Maingear have priced the base model as above to start at $1,100, but if the buyer went for all of the high end options available the price would rise to around $2,000, you have been warned!
