Nexus, a leading specialist in silent PC cooling solutions, have just launched a new liquid cooling pad which has been specially designed to keep your laptop and its components cool. Sounds good!
The Nexus TDD-9000 as it is called, is made from soft black velvet material and contains a special patented liquid gel inside it that will act as a cooling system. Apparently the pad takes effect and starts its cooling function almost immediately.

“When you put the laptop cooling pad on your lap you will feel your lap turn colder within 10 seconds,” claims Michael van der Jagt, CEO of Nexus Technology.
So how does this impact on laptops?
The pad has also been independently tested by SGS Taiwan Ltd and the claims have been verified. SGS used a laptop of their choice and the results showed that the temperature of the laptop could be cooled by up to 17 percent.
When their chosen laptop was placed on a regular surface and turned on, it reached a temperature of 50 degrees centigrade after a period of 40 minutes. When the same laptop was placed on the TDD-9000 cooling pad, the temperature only rose to 36 degrees in the same period of 40 minutes.
Some of the other advantages of the cooling pad are as follows:
• It doesn’t need any electricity to operate so is noiseless and energy efficient
• It is ultra portable. You can just fold it up so and carry it around with you wherever you go to use it any time, any place, anywhere
• It is designed to fit any size of laptop
• It is highly versatile as it can be used as a keyboard cushion or a wrist pad or anything else you can think of
• The soft material means the cooling pad won’t scratch and damage your laptop so it can quite safely be carried along with it
In order to regularly re-boost the cooling power, it is recommended that you take the cooling pad out and shake it every twenty minutes or so.
No doubt it won’t be long before this cooling pad will be touted as the next ultimate must have for laptop owners. If you want one and I must admit I do, the TDD-9000 is expected to be available in stores from the middle of June and will cost $23.
