Having said that, we are very happy to welcome Thinkpad X301, the latest ultra portable laptop from Lenovo and the best they’ve made so far.
It is using the proven X300 design as a base and upgrades it with the latest Intel Centrino 2 chipset available at 1.2 GHz and 1.4 GHz. The latest Intel CPU is 20% faster and uses 20% less battery then it’s predecessor.
The screen is the same 13.3″ LED with the resolution of 1440×900. Models with integrated mobile broadband have GPS navigation capability.
At 2.9 lbs it’s a perfect laptop for a travel oriented businessman.

I have been reading that the battery life is actually less than the X300. If this is the case, sounds like a lousy deal.
