HP release details on the Pavilion g7-1368dx
There was a time when HP was one of those brands that your dad always used, but recently the firm have become a little bit more trendy especially with the use of Beats audio features etc. The all new Pavilion g7-1368dx laptop is no exception to this change in direction as it offers the user a cool 17.3 inch display, AMD processors and graphics cards. Basically, this is a high end machine aimed at the pro market, which is of course the market we were talking about earlier! None the less the Pavilion g7-1368dx is easily turned from business machine to a gamers machine, it’s a matter of what is going on under the hood and this brings us nicely to exactly that point, let’s take a look at what this new laptop from HP has to offer.
First of all, there is the big 17.3 inch diagonal screen with HD+ BrightView and LED-backlit display, there is a 1600 x 900 of pixel resolutions and a built in HP web camera with integrated digital microphone for online meetings etc. It will be running Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) operating system, powered by the 2.4 GHz – 1.5 GHz VISION A6 Technology from AMD, this uses the AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M Accelerated Processor, while the graphics are coming from the AMD Radeon HD 6520G Discrete Class Graphics card.
Internal memory starts at 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM (1 DIMM) but could go as high as 8 GB in needed, there is the 500 GB 5400 RPM hard disk drive (HDD) for storage and a SuperMulti DVD burner Multimedia Drive. Networking is provided by the wired 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector), Bluetooth or the wireless 802.11 b/g/n WLAN. Other features will include the three standard USB 2.0 ports, the HDMI & VGA (15-pin) display out, RJ-45 (LAN) and for cool audio there is the SRS Premium Sound with Altec Lansing speakers.
When it comes to size the Pavilion g7-1368dx measures up at 16.22 inches (W) x 10.55 inches (D) x 1.22 inches to 1.44 inches (H) and it weighs in at fairly heavy 6.05 pounds with the 6-cell 47 WHr lithium-ion battery installed, that HP claim to be good for up to 4 hours 43 minutes of use without mains power. It looks like HP have provided us with all the information we need on the Pavilion g7-1368dx except the prices and availability, which is a bit disappointing at these stage.
