Great machine! 3GB ram 250GB hd: enough space to try XPSP3, Seven RTM and, best of all, Mandriva GNU/Linux 2009.1.
XP installed with sata in IDE compatibility mode. Updated with HP drivers and switched to native sata, is ok, fast&furious!
Seven RTM is ok, seems as fast as XP, with updated look...both of them usable for gaming, thanks to ATI HD3430.
GNU/Linux by Mandriva 2009.1 works perfectly, with every device installed and configured automatically ;-)...great desktop experience and a silent machine for the long P2P download sessions. Using "on demand" performance profile, the fan is running at minimum speed and dual-core cpu at 800MHz provide enough power to surf the net and leave your 1 ton applications and documents opened without increasing clock...just in case of flash animations :-D
