Hey there, so I connected my laptop to my tv with a single vga cord for the visual and a 3.5 mm audio y cable for the audio. The only problem im having is that the audio (from my computer)only works on the tv when a tv show is on. So ill have visual from the tv and audio from my computer. When I put it on the AV channel I only get visual from my computer on the tv screen but no audio. So basically I cant get the audio and video on the same channel. Any tips guys?

Hi, I have a Toshiba laptop and an older Ultravision big screen tv. Both have s-video jacks but I get no picture when I hook up the S-video cable. Is there another way to connect the two?

hi i have a sony vaio laptop with windows vista. i am trying to connect my laptop to my tv, i have bought a vga to tv converter. i have a scart lead with three phono plugs on 1 end 1 video 2 audio. when these are all connected nothing happens. is there something i need 2 turn on for the external display really goin mad with this please help

Please help! I recently bought a VGA cable and hooked my HP pavilion laptap to my Samsung LED TV. I have no problem with video but sound comes out only on my laptap and not my TV. Please advise. Thanks!!

i recently broke my laptop screen, i was sure the laptop still worked so i connected it to a tv, the tv says it has connected to the laptop but there is no picture,

I connected my Dell Latitude 600 laptop to my TV via an S video cable. My laptop recognizes my TV and I can direct write to it, but I can’t see a video on it. (I’m not worried about audio as I’m using another hookup) When I go to Control Panel and display it will point to my TV as monitor 2 and even identify it, but nothing except my mouse appears on the TV screen. Can anyone help?
