Hey Presto And Your PC Boots In Seconds

Anyone who has ever sat waiting patiently for their PC to boot up, and let’s face it, all of us must have experienced that at some point, will be pleased to know that Presto promises the answer.

Presto is a Linux based operating system but the beauty of it is you can now make use of the qualities associated with Linux without any major hassles like partitioning off your hard drives because it boots up within Windows XP or Vista.

When Presto loads up, which by all accounts should take less than twenty seconds; it installs a dual boot menu so that you can choose which operating system to use at start up.

It comes with Firefox, Open Office, RealPlayer and Skype already pre-loaded but you can add many more applications by downloading them from the app store.

If you fancy trying it out you can have a free seven day trial of Presto and here’s how easy it is for you to install it.

1. Download Presto from the Prestomypc website
2. Once it’s downloaded click to start the installation process
3. After it’s finished doing its stuff simply reboot your PC

That’s it.

When your PC loads up again, you will see a menu asking which operating system you want to run with so simply click on Presto. If you dilly dally around for too long then Windows will just load up after about 30 seconds while you sit there trying to make your mind up.

Don’t expect a miracle the first time it loads up though, it does have a few configurations to put in place, but after that each and every time you boot up it should be hey presto and away you go.

If you’re worried about your existing Network connections then apparently there’s no need as it will automatically detect them for you and you just click on whichever one you want to connect to.

Shutting your computer down is equally hassle free with Presto, all you have to do is click on the green button and darkness will descend.

Got to say it sounds like a great product but unlike other Linux systems it isn’t free although on saying that it doesn’t exactly cost the earth either.

If you like Presto then after the free trial is up it’s all yours for a mere $19.95.
