The band Megadeth spelled their name that way on purpose.

When Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica back in 1983 he started his own band with a similar logo and font. Dave is actually a highly intelligent person.

As an added bonus, Dave Mustaine wrote most of the songs on the first three Metallica albums if you were to read the liner notes.

No, I didn’t forget the “n” in “splendiferous” when I Googlewhacked it. Somehow I missed typing it on Sean’s comment section — or it just got eaten by the seanrox server . . . [You'll see I noted it is a variant of splendid, which also, of course, has an "n."]

Speaking of missing letters “Megadeth,” I always thought presumed favorite metal group needs a spelling lesson.

By the way, “rectangular encephalopod” is a pretty brilliant Googlewhack.

I think it’s time we petition Answers.com for entering my last name and “encephalopd” into the dictionary that Google parses for their word entries.

Both are valid words . . . though mine is quite archaic, stemming from German in the middle ages.

This took about 3 seconds.

My last name is uncommon in English speaking countries . .. . and I had the word “splediferous” on the brain. Splediferous is a not-so-commonly used variant of splendid.

Thus, “splediferous bachofner” (without the quotes) results in a “Googlewhack” as of 1:35 PST on Dec. 21, 2006.

Alas, the result does not point to any of my splendid web pages.
