Google Mother’s Day 2007

Today is Mother’s Day here in the United States, so being the cute, clever and fun company that Google is known for, as expected we’ve been graced with a Mother’s Day tribute Google logo:

Happy Mother's Day

And now, a little bit of Mother’s Day trivia thanks to Wikipedia:

In the United States, Mother’s Day was copied from England by social activist Julia Ward Howe after the American Civil War. Howe wrote the Mother’s Day Proclamation. In the UK, the day now simply celebrates motherhood and thanking mothers.

According to the National Restaurant Association, Mother’s Day is now the most popular day of the year to dine out at a restaurant in the United States.

The National Restaurant Association seems to know what’s up, at least with my family because as a long standing family tradition, my mom and grandma will be going out for Mother’s Day brunch… and yep, you guessed it, to a restaurant :)

My tradition for today… I’ll be giving them each a phone call and wishing them both Mother’s Day wishes as any good son should do.

Be sure to be good kids (yeah you too) and give your mother a call and also your grandmother and say “Happy Mother’s Day”.

    You’re such a good son Justin :)

Chicago was a blast. So much to post about and I’m still decompressing.

Be sure to keep checking back as I post more pictures and recaps of the conference.
