The convertible tablet is strange machine that for some reason struggles in the market, it is neither a netbook or a tablet, but being both it has a foot in two camps and sometimes this is concept that does not work very well. However Gigabyte are pulling out all of the stops with this next generation convertible tablet device by giving a couple of these away to their Facebook fans, simply visit the page, like the brand and fill out a survey to be in with a chance of winning.

Back the computer! There are some nice features available on the Booktop T1132 as well as plenty of options to upgrade the memory and storage solutions to suit the user’s requirements and needs. The Gigabyte Booktop T1132 is an 11.6 inch Capacitive Multi touch Panel LED back light display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and it has a useful built in 1.3 Mega Pixel we camera too.

It is powered by the very capable Intel Core i5-2467M Processor with 1.6 GHz to 2.3 GHz and for smart graphics & video it has an NVIDIA GeForce GT520M 1 GB that Supports the NVIDIA Optimus Technology. The computer has a 2 GB or 4 GB of DDRIII RAM with 2 slots to a Maximum of 8 GB and there is a choice of storage solution too, from the 320 GB, 500 GB and the 750 GB 2.5″ 9.5mm SATA hard disk drive (HDD) at 5400rpm.

Networking is covered by the 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Base-T Wireless, 802.11 b/g/n Wireless and there is also the Bluetooth V3.0 + HS connection for accessories etc. When it comes to connectivity there is a fast connecting USB 3.0 port, the standard USB 2.0 port, an eSATA/USB Combo and there is also a useful HDMI port too. This machine measures 290 (W) mm x 220.7 (D) mm x 27.86 to 40 (H) mm and weighs in at just 1.76 Kg with the Li-ion six cell battery installed.
