Gateway launches its latest laptop the NV57H103U
Ever since Gateway computers became part of Acer they have been bringing out some interesting and useful laptops, the NV57H103U is no exception to that trend! They have gone with a brighter colour scheme for this laptop incorporating white and silver into the chassis design. The laptop itself has the medium sized 15.6 inch screen and is powered by the Intel core type processor with HD 3000 graphics and QuickSync for smoother video playback. There is no doubt that Gateway are looking at the home and student user here, but why not that is a massive market where price and reliability matter.
Let’s have a closer look at what the NV57H103U has one offer, it comes with a 15.6 inch glossy surface screen with a high definition widescreen offering an LED backlit LCD with Ultrabright technology with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolution and there is a handy built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera with microphone. It runs on the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, will be powered by the Intel Core i3-2310M processor with 2.1 GHz, dual-core & 3 MB cache and the graphics come from the Intel HD 3000 graphics card 128 MB dedicated memory.
There is a 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM available, which is expandable up to 8 GB, a 500 GB SATA hard disk drive (HDD) at 5,400 rpm and a Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support. For networking there is no Bluetooth available, but there is the normal 802.11n wireless LAN and the built-in 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector). Other features include the three standard style USB 2.0 ports, VGA & HDMI display ports, multi-in-1 card reader, Stereo speakers, Isle-style keyboard with num-pad and multi-touch touchpad with physical buttons. This laptop measures up at 1.3 inches (H) x 15 inches (W) x 10 inches (H) and it weighs in at 5.7 pounds with the 6 cell 48Wh Lithium-Ion battery installed.
Gateway have priced the NV57H103U at just $400, which for an entry level machine is really great value!
