Galaxy Nexus II Purported Camera Photo Makes Its Way On The Internet
This year has brought us a lot of great devices by some of the greatest manufacturers. The year is far from over and still each day there are scores of rumors being received regarding upcoming devices. It was in November last year when Samsung announced the Galaxy Nexus, which happened to be the company’s flagship Android smartphone powered by the then latest platform update, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
This smartphone has been quite popular with Android enthusiasts around the world. Now it looks like Samsung is planning to release the successor of Galaxy Nexus. An image, purportedly taken by the camera of a Galaxy Nexus II, has made its way online. We shall see whether or not it impresses us in any way.
Samsung has clearly carved a niche for itself in a smartphone market that was once dominated by Apple and its iPhone. While both manufacturers have taken it upon themselves to sue each other to oblivion, Samsung and its multitude of Android powered smartphones have emerged as worthy competitors to the iPhone.
The image that has popped up online, shows model number of the camera it was taken with as GT-I9260. This number has been recurring in various rumors in the recent past and has since then rumored to belong to the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus II. It didn’t help that a User Agent Profile with the exact same model number found its way online as well. Specifications of Galaxy Nexus II have also been in the rumor for quite some time now.
On the face of it, the information revealed by this image is trivial at best. It mentions the model number that is constantly being linked to the Galaxy Nexus II. The file size of this photo as well as its dimensions are obviously of no use and no importance at this point in time. It can not be said how powerful the camera on Nexus II is going to be, the images provide no hint to that. Nothing about the physical aspects of Galaxy Nexus II has been leaked up till now, however there exists a possibility that we’ll get to know more about the device as its launch nears.
The smartphone battles has heated up quite a lot in this year. Samsung first released Galaxy S III which was then followed by the release of Galaxy Note II, apart from various mid-range Android smartphones. Apple released iPhone 5 a couple of weeks ago whereas Nokia announced Lumia 920. With all of this taking place, we can expect Samsung to announce the Galaxy Nexus II in November, a full year after it first announced its predecessor.
