It is a problem that we have all encountered. No matter what time of day or night, or wherever you happen to be, there are just some moments when you will desperately need to charge your laptop and you simply won’t be able to.

Well now one answer has come along out of the tech room at Easy Energy. As the name would suggest, Easy Energy like to make acquiring energy easier, and they have already produced a number of devices to lay rightful claim to their name. However, they are hoping that their latest release is going to be their biggest hit so far: the Yogen Max, a new folding laptop charger.

This is the latest member of the Yogen product suite, which comprises a number of chargers for mobile phones and other electronic devices that all have the added benefit of being charged by hand and without a conventional power supply.

We’re not exactly sure why the folding mechanism is so revolutionary, but Easy Energy are certainly convinced that it is worth the hassle and have made sure to get hold of a patent for it, so it must be worth something.

Guy Ofir, Chief Executive Officer at Easy Energy, said that “this unique product will allow for the complete charging of a laptop anywhere in the world, inside or outside, wired or not”.

I am all for a product that means extra power when out and about with my laptop, and this could well make a difference to numerous on-the-go business people when it is officially released. So although it may look a bit odd, if it works and does the job then you can’t really complain.

So we’ll be waiting with interest for the product to be officially launched and will see if all that folding hype was worth it, and if it really makes for a more convenient laptop charger or is just another gimmick.
