The Drone is the latest wonder gadget to be released by Callpod, who have recently brought out a string of successful devices including the Chargepod 6-in-1 portable charger and the Dragon Class-1 Bluetooth headset.
The Drone is set to complement the Dragon, coming in the shape of a plug-and-play VoIP and Bluetooth USB adapter, which Callpod are claiming to be the “World’s Most Powerful” of its kind.
One of the main uses for the Drone is to provide free roaming for Skype and other VoIP users on a Bluetooth headset who do not enjoy having to sit at their computer whilst making calls. The beauty of the Drone is that it allows users to stroll around up to 100 meters away from the device, meaning you can talk from pretty much any room in the house (unless you happen to live in a palace).
This is also true of listening to music, be it on iTunes, Windows Media Player, or a CD, and the Drone can also support data transfer to a number of other Bluetooth devices, such as a Bluetooth cell phone, a PDA, or a photo printer.
And all of this in a device that also looks great and is clearly built to last, being made from die-cast zinc and high impact polycarbonate.
