Dospara launches the Note Galleria QF620U
Here is another new ultrabook to take a look at, it’s called the Note Galleria QF620U and it’s from the Japan based computer maker Dospara. It offers a nice and neat fourteen inch screen, Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia graphics and because it is an ultrabook it has a slim and light solid state drive, in place of the heavier hard disk drive. Normally we would be expecting to see ultrabooks creeping over the $1,000 price barrier, but in this case Dospara have managed to bring the Note Galleria QF620U in well under starting at $850. This means that the ultrabook is no longer an exclusive choice as this slim and light laptop are no available to the wider market.
As mentioned earlier the Note Galleria QF620U comes with a 14 inch screen with a glossy style LCD Display that offers a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a handy built in HD web camera. It is running on the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system and is powered by the Intel Core i7-3517U processor with 1.90 GHz up to 3.00 GHz with turbo boost rated dual-core with up to 4MB cache. There is support from the Mobile Intel HM77 Express Chipset and graphics come from the NVIDIA GeForce GT620M 2GB & Intel HD Graphics with switching provided by the NVIDIA Optimus Technology.
It has a 4 GB starting memory but this can go up to 16 GB of DDR3 SO-DIMM max and there is a 128 GB solid state drive (SSD) for storage purposes. When it comes to networking, there is the 10 BASE-T, 100 BASE-TX, 1000 BASE-T Wired LAN, with Bluetooth 3.0 and IEEE802.11 b / g / n Wireless LAN. There are two standard type USB 2.0 ports, a single super fast connecting USB 3.0 port, HDMI Video output and a handy Multi-Card Reader. As for the measurements the Note Galleria QF620U is 248 mm (D) x 340 mm (W) x 20.9 mm (H) and weighs in at 1.9 kilos even with the Lithium-ion battery in place that Dospara say will offer about 5.5 hours of power.
Dospara has priced the new Note Galleria QF620U ultrabook at $850.
