Okay, so you’re infected, and you need a great antivirus program, right now! YESTERDAY if possible! You’ve got all of these viruses crawling all over your files, and you don’t know what to do!
Time is of the essence, so let’s hurry it up and skip all of the usual introductory paragraphs and get right down to it. Here is what may very well be the very best antivirus program out there…
McAfee Security Center
Simply put, McAfee Security Center is probably the only piece of computer security software you’re ever going to need, for a number of reasons.
First, it’s powerful. It has access to a very large database of known viruses, and it gets daily updates, ensuring that it’s always hip to whatever the latest new virus happens to be. This way, viruses don’t even get a foot in the door. If a virus maker creates a new Trojan in the morning, McAfee will have it in its crosshairs that afternoon.

Some of them even offer to remotely install the program for you simply because it’s so non-user friendly. McAfee is remarkably user friendly. Most of the daily updates don’t require any participation on your end. You need only sit back and let the program do all the work, rather than reinstalling and rebooting once every day.
Third, and perhaps most importantly, McAfee is a full package. It kills viruses, sure, but it also works wonders against pop up ads, spam, and worms. You don’t get that from most antivirus programs.
The only thing that will prevent some people from giving McAfee a try is that it does cost around fifty dollars for the full home package. That may seem like a lot, especially when you consider that there are free programs all over the internet for all of this.
However, you definitely get more than what you paid for with this price.
Our advice is to give the trial offer a try, see if you like it, and if you don’t, try something else. At the very least, you don’t have anything to lose.
But in the meantime, don’t leave yourself unprotected. If even after reading the above, you’ve no interest in McAfee, at least put Avira AntiVir or AVGFree on your desktop or laptop until you’ve settled on a great antivirus program you like a little better.
