Christmas Lights Explosion

As I mentioned on my first post for December 2006 people are starting to put up holiday lights and decorations.

Tonight I ventured out into the cold to snap a few pictures of one house in particular that looks like Christmas exploded all over it.

Have you seen the movie National Lampoons Christmas Vacation? It’s one of my holiday favorites. If you haven’t seen it, Yule crack up!

For those of you who have seen the movie, the family that owns the house in these pictures sure have given Clark Griswold a run for his money:

I bet the electric bill will be huge for them. All have to ask them in a month when the bill comes.

They even have a huge inflatable snow globe in the backyard but since it’s so cold outside, the thing was all fogged up, so I’ll try going out earlier tomorrow night and get a picture of that as well.

Hi Ethan, I’ve seen that video. Pretty amazing. I think it was done with stop motion photography.

Hey Doug… I assume you haven’t seen the movie or own the DVD? Yule crack up is the tag line from the movie :)

  5. SeanRox: Last year this guy was on the news for the link that I posted about and they did a live show; He had it wired to a bunch of black boxes then to his laptop. I was amazed; the city later made him take it down though because there were some car accidents in front of his house.

Found your site through Casual Keystrokes. Wow, some lights, reminds me of the houses down the road from me. Every year they compete with each other adding something new every night. Quite funny to watch.
