When you’re using a Mac, you get a few advantages. First of all, you get great quality when it comes to audio and visual stuff. Even their basement bargain deals have always been really impressive on that front.
I mean, for example, I sometimes do professional photoshopping on this five hundred dollar Mac mini, and it’s doing me just fine.
Of course, the downside to being a Mac owner is that we always seem to get all the good stuff way after the windows people have already had their fun with it.
This applies to nearly everything from apps to antivirus stuff.

Norton works on several levels. First of all, it’s simply a great scanner. It can find pretty much every virus on your Mac, and it gets regular updates at least once a day, ensuring that the database of known viruses is always up to date, keeping your computer in the clear.
Second, it’s easy to use. The user interface has been cut down, refined, polished, and reshaped into one of the most user friendly interfaces out there on any operating system.
Luckily, virus protection has never been a huge priority on Mac. Even today, with viruses and spyware and spam running rampant, the Mac OSX has always been pretty resilient when it comes to being resistant to viruses.
In fact, for a time, Apple actually openly discouraged their users from bothering with antivirus software, and in fact, there are many users who still consider it a waste of time.
