These days it seems that a netbook is merely just a small computer, thanks to the tablet invasion netbooks have fallen out favour with consumers and therefore the manufacturers are not too keen on bringing out anything new to this market.

This summer or possibly earlier Asus will be adding to its already busy line of thin and light laptops, which are these days known as ultrabooks with the U47A and the U47VC complete with smart brushed aluminium alloy chassis. The two models appear to be more or less the same in specs and features, apart from the U47A with its integrated Intel HD graphics and the U47VC using the NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. With that being the only visible difference so far, let us check out what these two ultrabooks really do have to offer.
One of the first things that you are going to notice about the Clevo P270WM notebook is that you can get one of those super charged Core i7 Intel processors installed, until now these would only have been found in a desk top PC, but obviously not any more. The next thing that you may notice is that they have left off details on weight and the battery, so this would suggest to us that this laptop is going to be really heavy maybe even touching seven kilos and the battery will not be offering much life away from the mains power socket.
There have been rumours of a new version of the Toshiba Portege for some time now and it seems that the new Satellite U840 could fit the bill! It is a new light and slim ultrabook, finished in a lovely aluminium effect, running Windows 7 and powered by an Intel i5 processor, now that sounds like a Portege replacement and therefore we need to take a closer look at it.
This is the latest desk top replacement from Eurocom, they call it the Leopard 2.0 and it offers a wide range of options and upgrades that can take the final price sky high if the buyer is not careful. However, what we are looking at here is a laptop that is at the starting point more or less and even so it still very impressive in both specs and looks. Eurocom may not be the first laptop brand of choice, but maybe it is worth a look.
When it comes to the Toshiba dynabook Qosmio range of laptops, there is already a wide choice and the range has just been given a new addition with the T551 entertainment laptop. It comes with an impressive list of features and specs that have been chosen to make this laptop the ideal choice for the buyer that loves video. There are two different models in the dynabook Qosmio T551 range but they difference is only the colour of the case, with the T551/T4EW (PT551T4EBFW – White) and the T551/T4EB (PT551T4EBFB – Black)!
