“Starry Night” Recreated In 3D In Second Life

This beautiful video shows construction of a 3D re-creation of the famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh. The soundtrack is “Starry, Starry Night,” by Don McLean.

I think a lot of people will enjoy this video, however you can appreciate it a little more if you’ve actually done some building in Second Life.

Dominos - Avoid the Noid

I love pizza. It’s got to be one of the best quick in a pinch fixes to get something to eat when you don’t want to cook and for the most part can be really tasty… ham, onion, mushroom and bell peppers… yum-o!

Usually I’ll order Pizza Hut or Papa Murphy’s and sometimes I’ll even make homemade pizza. w00t.

Well earlier today I saw a car with an old Dominos Pizza Noid radio antenna gadget which got me thinking about pizza TV commercials, so I went looking for old Dominos pizza TV advertisements because I recalled the little Noid character being in them.

Yay, an old school “Avoid the Noid” Dominos pizza commercial… it would be so great if they brought these back.

What do you think Geek With Laptop readers?

Should Dominos bring back the “Avoid the Noid” advertising campaign or just stick with the current boring ads they have playing?

Prometeus - The Media Revolution

Man is God. He is everywhere, he is anybody, he knows everything. This is the Prometeus new world. All started with the Media Revolution, with Internet, at the end of the last century.

The media arena is less and less populated. Only the Tyrannosaurus Rex survives. The Net includes and unifies all the content. Google buys Microsoft.

Amazon buys Yahoo! and become the world universal content leaders with BBC, CNN and CCTV.

Second Life Apple Store

Fifth Avenue Apple Store meets Second Life:

From what I can tell, Second Life is a whole lot like the SIMs. Would this be a good description?

How many of my readers are into the whole “Second Life” addiction?

Invisible Skate Boarding

This is a pretty cool video. It basically looks like the people are floating on thin air using invisible skate boards.

Now the million dollar question everyone is asking… how did they do it?

Well I’ll tell you… they really had invisible skate boards :)

Commercial Love - Talk Talk

So there is a company in the UK called TalkTalk which is the consumer telephone business of The Carphone Warehouse Group plc, Europe’s leading independent communications retailer.

Since I’m into technology and all sorts of communication methods, I went on a quest… indeed, I jumped on my digital horse and started… (insert trumpets and fanfare) The quest for some fun TV ads for various phone companies.

In my search, I found the one below for TalkTalk which is one of the most creative commercials I’ve seen in a long time:

Pretty neat. I wonder how long it took to put the sequences together?
