If you fancy wearing a spacey looking futuristic style headset and a bracelet that doubles as a watch and a mobile wrist phone at the same time, then this ‘On Time Headset’ concept design by designer Pedro Gomes might be just the thing for you.
The curved LCD touch pad screen on the bracelet displays the time and acts as your control centre. If you receive a call the bracelet on your wrist starts to vibrate to alert you to that incoming call so no chance of you missing it, and the caller ID is conveniently displayed on the screen.

If you want to talk to that person then all you have to do is tap once on the touch screen and the call will be answered using Bluetooth technology. However, if you decide you don’t want to answer the call then a double tap on the screen will reject the call and you’re free to continue what you were doing.
Quite simple idea really but will it catch on?
The bracelet itself looks a little bulky to me and I don’t know how comfortable it would be to wear for any length of time. Put it this way, I don’t think it’s the kind of thing you can put on and forget about, it’s much too thick.
However, the overall look of the thing is pretty cool and I like the simplicity of it, the display shows the time and the name of the person who is calling you and that’s about it.
I’m not sure about the three quarter round bit, I kind of like my watches (or bracelets) to feel a bit more secure, I mean you wonder if it might be ripped off if you accidentally catch it on something.
On saying that, the simple touch to accept or reject calls is handy and if you do accept, you have the freedom to move around hands free to speak. That’s kinda cool actually.

The headset looks ok albeit a bit weird but we’ve kind of got used to wearing different styles of head sets. I’m sure we’d adapt to this one too if we had to.
Will it turn out to be the next ‘must have’ device or is it just a fancy gimmicky gadgety toy? I suspect the latter might be nearer the mark. I’m really not sure if I like it or not to be honest and I admit I am more than a bit curious as to what others are going to make of it.
Hmmm I have changed my mind , I like it !!
