Yesterday, the world woke up to news that Google just made its biggest purchase yet – the 12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola technologies. For those up-to-date on their tech news, this is a big deal, because now Google has direct control over one arm of manufacturing when it comes to the devices its Android operating system runs on. Keep in mind that Android was launched with Google’s unsuccessful G1 smartphone back in 2008. It’s apparent they want their hands on the hardware end of the mobile technologies spectrum.
